Building a development organisation’s strategic plan on an evolving and uncertain world stage is a challenge. The intersecting and complex nature of global forces that impact development creates a daunting prospect for conducting a comprehensive and practical analysis. However, SRI Executive has done just that in consultation with our clients; leading national and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs), international organisations (IOs), and multilateral institutions. We have undertaken multiple trends analyses as part of our collaborative exploration of our clients’ operational landscapes and across the global development sector.  The megatrends represented here are the most pressing issues and opportunities for development from 2030 to 2050. We are highlighting this period, after the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) milestone, as a critical point for development.
